Hi, I’m Mr. Plumber! As a late night worker for most of my life, I often would end my work day at 5am. Working up a good appetite for donuts, my trip home involved stopping at the local donut shop for a tasty pastry breakfast. I liked having donuts as part of my day so much that I started my own bakery. Now with 5 locations in the midwest, Sioux Falls is home to our first “drive-through” donut pick-up.

Process

Doughnut production for both fried and baked doughnuts begins with mixing the ingredients (milk, sugar, salt, water, yeast, eggs or egg whites, and flavorings) in a mixer to form a dough. Then doughnut producers feed the dough into a hopper, and after that, they transfer it to an extruder to create the doughnut shapes.
